  • 1 qt. peaches, drained and chopped (reserve 2/3 c. syrup)
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. lemon jello
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 large container Cool Whip or 2 envelopes Dream Whip

Directions

    Dissolve jello, sugar and salt in boiling water.

    Add 2/3 cup of peach syrup.

    Chill until slightly thickened.

    Blend almond extract into whipped topping.

    Gently blend into gelatin; add peaches.

    Pour into large casserole dish (9 x 13 inches).

    Chill until firm.
