  • 12 Del Monte dried peaches
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • powdered sugar
  • 1 c. pecans

    Combine peaches and water in saucepan.

    Bring to boil.

    Reduce heat; simmer uncovered about 15 minutes.

    Drain.

    Chop peaches and toss with flour.

    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Blend in egg yolks and extracts.

    Gradually mix in flour-peach mixture. Shape in small balls.

    Place on baking sheet and bake at 325° about 25 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Roll in powdered sugar.
