  • 2 doz. peaches
  • 5 to 6 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. whole cloves (stick into peaches)
  • 1 Tbsp. allspice
  • 2 c. water

Directions

    Pare hard ripe fruit.

    Leave whole.

    Boil sugar, spices, water and vinegar.

    Add peaches and cook until tender.

    Pack peaches into hot jars.

    Pour boiling syrup over peaches.

    Process 10 minutes in hot water bath or put into freezer containers and freeze.
