Peach Pound Cake

- 1 c. butter, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 16 oz. (2 c.) fresh or frozen peaches, thawed and diced
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Sift together flour and baking powder.

5Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.

6Add almond extract.

7Stir in peaches; mix well.

8Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

9Bake 1 1/2 hours. Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.
