Peach Surprise Cake

  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 (29 oz.) can sliced peaches
  • 6 oz. coconut (we prefer frozen because it's finer)
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 Betty Crocker SuperMoist butter pecan cake mix
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Thicken peach liquid with 1 tablespoon cornstarch.

    Pour peaches and liquid in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Spread dry

    cake mix over peaches.

    Pour melted butter over cake mix.

    Let butter soak into cake mix for at least 15 to 20 minutes; the longer, the better.

    Sprinkle coconut, then pecans over all.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until browned all over.
