Ingredients
- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. cold water
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. shelled pecans, rolled fine
Directions

1Mix ingredients with hands; roll into oblong shape rolls (approximately 2 rolls, each 7 inches long).

2Smooth and flatten the top of each roll with your hands, keeping the sides and ends of rolls more round.

3Place each roll on a piece of wax paper; fold around dough.

4Place rolls in refrigerator until next day. (Can also be frozen until ready to use.)

5Cut into thin strips; bake in moderate 350° oven until golden.

6Yields 5 dozen.

7Cut each bar into 1/2-inch slices and bake for 13 to 15 minutes, until golden.
