  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. Spanish peanuts
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. butter

Directions

    Cook sugar, corn syrup and water to 280°, medium crack stage. Add peanuts, cook about 3 minutes or until light brown.

    Add baking soda, remove at once from heat. Add vanilla and butter.

    As soon as foaming has subsided, pour into buttered shallow pan.
