  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white syrup
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
  • 1/2 to 1 Tbsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix together sugar, syrup and water. Cook at 230°. Add peanuts. Cook at 290°. Add baking soda and salt. Mix until it starts to foam. Pour out on a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Loosen as it cools and stretch it. Turn it over.
