- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/3 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. roasted, blanched peanuts
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In large heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt.

2Stir constantly over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

3Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until syrup reaches 300° on candy thermometer (hard crack stage).

4Stir in peanuts.

5Mix soda and vanilla and quickly stir into candy. Mixture will foam.

6Quickly turn out into greased 10 x 15 x 1-inch pan.

7Cool completely.

8Break into pieces.

9Store in airtight containers up to four weeks.
