- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup and water in saucepan; cook over low heat until mixture comes to a boil.

2Add peanuts and cook until candy thermometer registers 290°.

3Remove from heat.

4Add butter, salt, vanilla and baking soda, mixing well.

5Spread thinly onto 2 buttered cookie sheets.

6Cool and break into pieces.

7Yield: about 2 pounds.
