- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. white Karo syrup
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 to 3 c. peanuts
- 3 Tbsp. oleo
- 3 Tbsp. baking soda
Directions

1Cook the first 4 ingredients together until they spin like a web thread 4 to 6 inches long when dripped from spoon.

2Add peanuts.

3Continue cooking until syrup begins to turn gold, stirring frequently.

4Peanuts will begin to pop and smell parched. Quickly stir in oleo and baking soda.

5Pour onto well buttered 11 x 17-inch cookie sheet.

6When it begins to set, mark into thirds. When hard, put out on table by turning over flat and tapping bottom of pan.

7Break into pieces.
