- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 c. raw peanuts
- 2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1In a heavy saucepan, heat sugar, syrup, water and salt to 290° using candy thermometer.

2Add peanuts.

3Reduce heat to medium and stir constantly.

4Cook until syrup spins a thread 300° on thermometer, add butter, then baking soda.

5Beat rapidly with spoon and pour on a buttered surface, spreading 1/4 inch thick.

6When cool, break into pieces.
