- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 1/2 tsp. butter or oleo
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. raw peanuts
Directions

1Put sugar, Karo and water in large pan.

2Cook until hard ball stage.

3Add peanuts and butter.

4Cook until syrup turns golden brown or until peanuts are golden brown, stirring constantly. Remove from fire.

5Add vanilla; stir, then add soda.

6Stir until mixture foams.

7Pour onto buttered cookie sheet.

8Let brittle cool.

9Break in pieces and store in airtight container.
