- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 c. salted peanuts (Spanish)
- 2 tsp. soda (no lumps)
Directions

1Stir together the sugar, corn syrup and water in a heavy large saucepan.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until temperature on candy thermometer reaches 280°.

3Stir in the peanuts (try to remove as many loose hulls as possible first). Cook slowly, without stirring, until temperature reaches 300°. Remove from heat and quickly stir in soda.

4Pour immediately onto two greased cookie sheets.

5Cool and break into pieces.
