- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. white Karo
- 2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Mix sugar, water and Karo and stir well.

2Add peanuts and butter.

3Cook, stirring until syrup becomes golden brown and reaches hard crack stage (very thick with small bubbles).

4Drop in ice water; if it becomes hard in water, it's ready.

5Quickly add vanilla, then soda and stir quickly.

6Pour into 2 well-buttered cookie sheets.

7Turn when cool.

8Break into pieces.
