- 3 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 qt. (4 c.) raw peanuts
- 3 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Cook the first 3 ingredients to thread spinning stage.

2Add peanuts.

3Cook until candy is a golden brown and peanuts have popped (about 10 minutes).

4Remove from fire and add baking soda. Stir thoroughly, but quickly and pour immediately onto well-greased surface such as marble or porcelain.

5When cold, slice knife or spatula underneath edges, popping candy up.

6Break into pieces by hitting on back side with knife.

7Store in an airtight container.
