- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 6 Tbsp. heavy cream
- 1 c. powdered sugar
Directions

1Cream shortening; gradually add peanut butter and cream until smooth.

2Add sugar and cream until mixture is light and fluffy. Add well beaten eggs and mix well.

3Combine all dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

4Stir in vanilla.

5Spoon mixture into 2 greased 9-inch layer cake pans and bake at 375° for 25 minutes or until cake pulls away from sides of pan.

6Cool and frost with frosting.
