  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. water
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • salted peanuts (approximately 1 lb.)

Directions

    Beat egg yolks; add 3/4 cup sugar and salt; beat 5 minutes, then add water.

    In separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff and add remaining 3/4 cup sugar.

    Stir with egg yolk mixture and fold in flour and baking powder.

    Bake in 350° oven in 9 x 13-inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes.
