Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 3 c. chopped pears (5 or 6 pears, chopped in food processor)
  • 3/4 c. Crisco oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl.

    Mix oil, eggs and vanilla.

    Add egg mixture to flour mixture and then add in pears and pecans.

    Grease and flour tube pan and bake at 350° for an hour.
