- 1 qt. peeled, cored and quartered pears
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Peel, core and quarter enough to make 1 quart of pears. Combine and boil for 5 minutes, 1 cup water and sugar.

2Add pears to syrup and bring gently to a boil.

3Then boil rapidly until pears are clear and tender.

4Syrup should be thick.

5Pack in hot, sterilized jars and seal immediately.

6Lemon or pineapple slices may be added for flavor.
