  • 1 lb. margarine
  • 1 lb. New York sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 to 2 tsp. cayenne
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. flour
  • pecan halves

Directions

    Cream margarine; add grated cheese.

    Mix in flour, salt, cayenne and pecan halves.

    Roll in balls.

    Press pecan half on each.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour.

    Turn off oven and let stay in oven another 30 minutes.

    Makes 10 to 12 dozen.
