- 2 (9-inch) unbaked pie shells
- 1 1/2 c. butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 3/8 tsp. salt
- 9 egg yolks
- 3 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Cream butter.

2Add sugar and cream again.

3Add flour, salt and egg yolks and mix well.

4Stir in evaporated milk and vanilla. Pour into pie shells and sprinkle each with 1 cup of chopped pecans.

5Bake in hot oven (425°) for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 300° for at least 40 minutes.
