Pecan Crunch

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter (may use half margarine)
  • 2 c. finely chopped pecans
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 c. sugar

Directions

    Sprinkle buttered 10 x 15-inch pan with 1 cup nuts and half the chocolate chips.

    In heavy saucepan, melt butter and sugar. Using a candy thermometer, heat mixture to 300°.

    (This takes approximately 15 minutes.)

    Pour this over mixture in pan. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips and let set until chocolate is soft. Spread evenly over candy and top with remaining pecans.

    Serves 24.
