Name: Pecan Delights
Ingredients: 2 1/4 c. brown sugar; 1 c. butter; 1 c. light corn syrup; 1/8 tsp. salt; 1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1 1/2 pkg. whole pecans; 1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips; 2 Tbsp. shortening

1 c. butter
1 c. light corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 pkg. whole pecans
1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. shortening

Directions

In a large saucepan, combine the first 4 ingredients.

Cook over medium heat until all sugar is dissolved.

Gradually add milk and mix well. Continue cooking until reaches 248° or firm ball stage. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.

Fold in pecans.

Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper lined cookie sheets. Chill until firm. Melt chocolate chips and shortening in microwave. Drizzle over clusters.
