  • 3 eggs
  • dash of salt (optional)
  • 2/3 c. white Karo syrup or half white and half dark
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans
  • prepared pie shell, uncooked

Directions

    In mixing bowl, break eggs and beat slightly with fork.

    Add salt, Karo syrup and sugar.

    Stir in egg with fork.

    Add vanilla and pecans.

    Can use halves or chopped (halves make a prettier pie).

    Pour in prepared pie shell (uncooked).

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or whenever pecans are golden in color.
