  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour

Directions

    Boil sugar and syrup; stir in oleo.

    In bowl, beat eggs.

    Add eggs to mixture.

    Add vanilla, salt and pecans.

    Mix flour and sugar; sprinkle over bottom of unbaked pie shell.

    Pour filling into shell.

    Bake at 350° for glass or at 375° for metal pan for about 45 minutes, or until tester inserted halfway between the outside and center of pie comes out clean.
