  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 c. brown sugar, well packed
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/3 c. butter, melted
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans

    Preheat oven to 350°. In a bowl, combine corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, butter, salt and vanilla. Mix well. Pour mixture into pie crust; sprinkle with pecans. Set on cookie sheet and bake until center is done (toothpick test), 45 to 50 minutes. If crust gets too brown, cover with foil.
