- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. Karo corn syrup (white)
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. self-rising flour
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Directions

1Beat eggs; add sugar, syrup, flour, shortening, salt, vanilla and nuts.

2Mix well.

3Pour in a partly baked crust and bake in moderate oven (325°) for about 45 minutes.

4The nuts float to the top, forming a firm crust that will brown nicely if baked slowly.
