  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell (unbaked)

    Beat eggs well. Add sugar, melted butter, syrup, salt and vanilla. Spread pecans in pie shell. Pour in egg mixture and bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes or until filling is firm. Nuts will rise to the top of pie and form a crusty layer.
