- 1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked
- 3 whole eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. melted butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/2 c. white Karo
- 1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped fine
- 1/2 c. whole pecans for top
Directions

1Beat eggs; stir in sugar, salt and corn syrup.

2Beat until well blended.

3Stir in chopped pecans and vanilla.

4Pour into pastry shell.

5Scatter halves over top and bake in a 325° to 350° oven for 45 minutes or until filling is set and the pastry is browned.

6Cool before cutting.
