  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. melted butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. white Karo
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped fine
  • 1/2 c. whole pecans for top

Directions

    Beat eggs; stir in sugar, salt and corn syrup.

    Beat until well blended.

    Stir in chopped pecans and vanilla.

    Pour into pastry shell.

    Scatter halves over top and bake in a 325° to 350° oven for 45 minutes or until filling is set and the pastry is browned.
