- 3 Tbsp. butter or oleo
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped coarsely
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. pecan halves
- 1 unbaked pie shell
Directions

1Cream butter with vanilla.

2Add sugar, creaming well.

3Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.

4Beat in chopped pecans, syrup and salt.

5Turn into unbaked pie shell.

6Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

7Reduce temperature to 350° and arrange pecan halves on top.

8Bake 30 to 35 minutes.

9Cool on wire rack.
