- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. white corn syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 whole eggs
- 1 c. pecans
Directions

1Brown butter in skillet to develop the rich flavor; remove from fire, add sugar and beat in the whole eggs one at a time.

2Add syrup and nuts.

3Add 1 tsp. vanilla if desired.

4Pour into uncooked pastry.

5Bake at 375° for 40-50 minutes, until custard sets and is browned.

6Makes 1 large or 2 small pies.
