- 1 (9-inch) pie crust
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. corn syrup (white)
- 1 1/4 c. pecans
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Boil butter and corn syrup gently for 10 minutes.

2Beat eggs gently, not until frothy.

3Mix pecans, salt, sugar and vanilla with eggs.

4Pour syrup mixture over egg mixture and blend.

5Place in pie crust. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.

6Reduce to 325° for 25 minutes more, until center no longer shakes.

7Do not overbake. Pie will firm up as it cools.
