  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream shortening and sugar.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix.

    Pour into unbaked 9-inch pie shell.

    Bake in a 425° oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350° and bake 25 more minutes.
