  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 c. light brown Karo (or 1/2 c. white and 1/2 c. brown Karo)
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 to 2 tsp. lemon juice (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine and beat sugar, flour, syrup and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each egg is added. Add vanilla and lemon juice and beat vigorously until bubbly.

    Pour over pecans in an unbaked pie shell and bake at 300° or 325° until pie shakes like jello. I double the recipe. Use one 10-inch and one 9-inch pie plate and a quart of pecans.
