  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. Karo syrup (blue label)
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecans

Directions

    Cream shortening and sugar together.

    Add rest of ingredients, adding one beaten egg at a time. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 25 minutes.
