Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch (heaping)
- pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. Karo syrup (1/3 dark, 2/3 light)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/2 c. pecan pieces (can use whole pecan halves arranged in bottom of pie shell)
Directions

1Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt; add beaten eggs, Karo syrup, melted butter and vanilla.

2Arrange pecans in unbaked pie shell.

3Pour ingredients on top.

4Pecans will rise to the top as it bakes.

5Bake at 425° for 15 minutes.

6Decrease to 350° and bake approximately 3/4 hour or until solid but not dry.
