  • FOR THE BASE:
  • 1 package Yellow Cake Mix, Divided
  • 1/2 cups Melted Butter
  • 1 whole Egg
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 cups Dark Corn Syrup
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans, For Sprinkling On Top

    Reserve 2/3 cup of cake mix for filling.

    Combine remaining cake mix, melted butter and 1 egg. Mix well and press into greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 18 to 20 minutes until light brown.

    Combine syrup, reserved cake mix, 3 eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla. Beat at medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour over hot crust.

    Sprinkle with pecans. Return to oven and bake for 30 minutes or until filling is set. Cool and cut into squares.
