- 1 yellow cake mix
- 1/4 c. soft butter
- 1 beaten egg
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Set aside 2/3 cup of cake mix.

2Combine remaining cake mix, butter and beaten egg.

3Stir by hand until crumbly.

4Press evenly over bottom and 1-inch up sides of ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

5Meanwhile, combine 3 eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar and vanilla in mixing bowl.

6Add the reserved cake mix.

7Stir by hand until combined well.

8Spread this filling evenly over baked crust and sprinkle with pecans.

9Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until filling is set.

10Cool.

11Cut in bars.
