- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. butter (2 sticks) plus 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 2 c. sugar, divided
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. Karo syrup
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. pecans, coarsely chopped
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Spray 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray.

3In a large bowl, with a mixer at medium speed, beat flour, 1 cup butter (cut into pieces), 1/2 cup of sugar and salt until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press firmly into pan and bake 20-23 minutes or until golden brown.
