Pecan Pie Cake

- 1 box yellow cake mix (without pudding)
- 4 eggs
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Remove 2/3 cup cake mix for filling. Mix remaining cake mix with 1 egg and butter. Pat into a 9 x 13 baking pan sprayed with Pam. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Let cool. While cooling, mix syrup, sugar, 3 eggs, vanilla, pecans and 2/3 cup cake mix. Pour over crust and place back in oven for 45 minutes. Cool thoroughly or overnight. Cut into bite-size bars.
