Pecan Pound Cake

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 1/4 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1/8 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans

    Cream together margarine and Crisco.

    Add sugar and eggs, one at a time.

    Add flour, salt and baking powder alternately with milk and flavorings.

    Add pecans last.

    Beat well.

    Pour in a 10-inch tube pan which has been greased with Pam spray. Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
