- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. pecans
- 1 stick (1/2 c.) butter or margarine, at room temperature
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- confectioners sugar (for decoration)
Directions

1Heat oven to 300°.

2Have ungreased cookie sheets ready. Process flour and pecans in a food processor or blender until nuts are very finely chopped.

3Beat butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl with electric mixer until pale and fluffy.

4With mixer on low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture just until blended. Roll level tablespoonfuls dough into balls.

5Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheets.

6Bake 45 minutes or until golden.

7While warm, roll in confectioners sugar.

8Place on wire rack to cool completely, then roll in confectioners sugar again.

9Store airtight up to 2 weeks or freeze.
