Ingredients
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- pecans (I use halves)
- 3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 2 slightly beaten eggs
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1Mix brown sugar and melted butter.

2Put in 18 muffin tins. Add teaspoon cold water to each.

3Layer bottom of tin with pecan halves.

4Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

5Cut in shortening or margarine.

6Add slightly beaten eggs and milk all at the same time.

7Beat until blended.

8Turn out on slightly floured board and knead 8 or 10 times.

9Roll into rectangle. Brush with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Roll as you would a jelly roll and cut in 3/4-inch slices.

10Put in muffin tins on top of pecans.

11Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes. Turn upside down immediately.
