- 1/2 c. pecans, finely chopped
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. dairy sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Grind the pecans.

2Combine nuts, flour and baking powder.

3In mixing bowl, beat butter and shortening for 30 seconds.

4Add sugar; beat until fluffy.

5Add egg, sour cream and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients; beat until well combined.

6Divide dough in half; cover and chill at least 3 hours.

7Working half the dough at a time on a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness.

8Cut with cutter or shape into 1-inch balls.

9Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

10Bake in a 375° oven for 9 to 10 minutes for cutouts or 10 minutes for shaped.
