  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla.

    Mix well. Blend in flour and nuts.

    Chill 4 hours.

    Shape into balls; mash slightly.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 325°. Cool slightly.

    Roll in powdered sugar.

    Makes 3 dozen.
