  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted plain flour
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • confectioners sugar

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar. Add water and vanilla. Mix well. Blend in flour and nuts. Chill 4 hours. Shape into 1-inch balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325° for about 20 minutes (will not brown). Remove from pan; cool slightly. Roll in confectioners sugar. Yield: 3 dozen cookies.
