- 1 c. butter Crisco
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 5 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. pecans, finely chopped (can also use walnuts)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Cream Crisco with sugar.

3Add vanilla, eggs and oil.

4Beat well.

5Add dry ingredients and nuts, beating well.

6Roll into small balls.

7Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.

8With a fork dipped in sugar, press tops of cookies.

9Bake at 375° for 12 minutes.

10Place on rack to cool.
