Pecan Snowballs

  • 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine
  • 12 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    In a medium bowl, cream together 3/4 cup of shortening and 1/4 cup of margarine.

    Stir in 2 teaspoons of vanilla.

    Add Confectioniors sugar,flour and salt.

    Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place them on the prepared cookie sheet.

    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned.

    Cool, and roll in more confectioners' sugar.
