- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. flour, sifted
- 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. coarsely broken pecans
- 1 egg

1Cheese Pastry:

2Let cream cheese and 1/2 cup butter soften at room temperature.

3Blend with flour, then chill about 1 hour. Shape into 2 dozen 1-inch balls.

4Place in tiny ungreased 1 3/4-inch muffin tins.

5Press dough on bottom and sides of tins.
